Title: Carpe diem

Fitness Principles: Goals, Happy, & Motivation
Description: This design is inspired by Russian grunge posters! This style leans towards a monochromatic look that uses lots of grain/noise and filtering. The style is very often used with bands, movies, and other even advertisements, and has one foot in minimalism and another in maximalism! My favorite movie of all time, Dead Poets Society, which was made during the time these kinds of posters were frequent, has a character named Mr. Keating who taught the boys the phrase "Carpe diem", which means to "seize the day." This phrase, alongside the movie, has gotten me through many tough times! To top it all off, I wanted to contrast the usual darkness of grunge with bright colors, which adds a personal touch to the overall design.
21 Fitness Principles Description: Goals: When you reach a goal, there is a reward there at the end. When I was deciding upon what principles to use, goals was a major one that stood out to me, for if we do not set goals or aim for some kind of achievement, we can lose meaning. In my case, I reward myself when I reach a goal, and many athletes have a GOAL to achieve GOLD medals! || Happy: With a lot of bright colors, the colors can invoke a feeling of joy and radiance. This is color theory :) Plus, the feeling of being motivated and getting things done can result in fulfillment, which can bring forth joy and happiness || Motivation: The quote, carpe diem, is a phrase that directly translates to "seize the day!" You have to keep going and face everything that is thrown at you with strength and confidence! This quote has gotten me through many hardships and is even featured in my all time favorite movie "Dead Poets Society".
